Appalachian Trail Journals

The Appalachian Trail is a continuous marked footpath that goes from Mount Katahdin in Maine, to Springer Mountain in Georgia, a distance of about 2,160 miles.  That’s a pretty good hike.

Come on, let’s go for a walk…

Walking from Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, to Front Royal, Virginia, April 2002

Walking a section of Pennsylvania, May 2001

Northward through Massachusetts, May 2000

Walking from Maryland into Pennsylvania, July 1999

Walking from Massachusetts through Connecticut, May 1999

Also … I highly recommend Ben Wagner’s AT movie, released in 2006.  Shot on the Appalachian Trail, Southbounders is one of the finest movies I’ve ever seen!
